• Trump called it a “new era,” took a bow in Sharm el-Sheikh, and floated a 20-point plan, while dodging a clear two-state commitment. That also matters.

• Netanyahu played the part—praise the peacemaker, shrug at the details, keep the coalition intact—and kept just enough distance to deny ownership if it all goes sideways.

Why it matters: Ending the shooting is good. But we’ve seen this movie: declarations first, implementation never. The plan lacks teeth on borders, governance, and a real pathway to Palestinian political rights. Without those, “peace” is just a pause. What makes matters worse?

Biden had the ECACT same deal in place over a year ago, nd Trump/Netanyahu agreed to PROLONG the suffering so that TRUMP could take credit for ushering in “Peace in the Middle East”.

If Netanyahu’s circle and Trump’s circle are politically synchronized—and a lucrative rebuild vehicle is warming up in the background—you’ve got a conflict-of-interest minefield on top of a humanitarian one and the bones of about 100k people who watched their culture disappear for condos and shopping malls.

Biden’s Blueprint vs. Trump’s Declaration: Same Bones, New Branding

In this town, delivery counts. But if you deliver someone else’s package six months late and claim you invented shipping, people notice. Biden rolled out a workable framework in 2024; Netanyahu resisted; the same bones reappeared in 2025, with Trump headlining; ceasefire/hostage exchange executed with global backing.

The indictment is still brutal: the “peacemaker” arrived after making sure peace was impossible unless he was involved, and another ~20,000 Gazans were added to the roll of the dead because, optics baby.

Much like the Migrant Crisis, Trump chose to prolong human suffering and tragedy so that HE could be the one who took credit for it.

The thing that REALLY perplexes me, though? How obsessed he is with looking like a peacemaker abroad while he’s going to war with Americans at home. I guess it’s like that abusive parent who pretends to be that all-American Mom/Dad in public until the door to their house and the drapes close.
