🇺🇦💥 BREAKING: France & Germany Just Told Ukraine “Don’t Trust the U.S.” — And That Should Terrify Every Democracy on Earth
A leaked call with Zelenskyy just shattered 75 years of transatlantic certainty.
December 5, 2025
If you ever needed proof that the world has officially slid into the geopolitical Upside Down, here it is:
France and Germany just warned Ukraine not to trust the United States.
Read that again.
The two backbone countries of the European Union — the same ones who’ve spent 75 years depending on American leadership — just told Volodymyr Zelenskyy privately (and now, thanks to a leak, very publicly):
“Be careful. The U.S. might sell you out.”
That’s not a diplomatic whisper.
That’s not a “concern.”
That’s a five-alarm fire.
And it didn’t come from fringe backbenchers or jittery ambassadors.
It came from the top.
Macron. Merz. Finland’s leadership. NATO-aligned partners.
All warning Zelenskyy that the U.S. may be preparing to force a “peace plan” that requires Ukraine to swallow the one thing it has refused to give up since day one:
Its land. Its sovereignty. Its future.
Welcome to the new world disorder.
The Call That Shattered the West’s Poker Face
The leaked conversation between Zelenskyy and Europe’s heaviest hitters was supposed to be routine.
Instead, it was a diplomatic intervention with the energy of a group chat staged in a burning house.
Ukraine:
“Hey, what’s the latest on the U.S. peace plan?”
Europe:
“Buddy… you might want to sit down for this.”
France’s president reportedly warned point-blank that there’s a “real chance” Washington might try to pressure Ukraine into accepting territorial concessions — yes, handing Russia land it invaded and land it never even fully controlled.
Germany’s leadership echoed the alarm:
“They’re playing games with both you and us.”
Translation:
Do not go into that negotiating room alone. And for the love of God, do not sign anything.
This is the diplomatic equivalent of your friends grabbing your phone and physically pulling you away from texting your toxic ex at 1 am.
Except your ex is a superpower-obsessed, peace-declaring cable news personality.
So What’s Actually in Trump’s Rush-To-Peace Scheme?
The U.S. plan — drafted without meaningful European involvement — reportedly contains:
Territorial concessions to Russia
Vague, unenforceable security guarantees
“Neutrality commitments” that weaken Ukraine strategically
A timeline designed for Washington’s domestic politics, not Kyiv’s survival
It’s less a peace plan and more of a real estate deal where a billionaire developer tries to offload a half-finished condo tower by claiming the holes in the walls are “ventilation features.”
If Jared Kushner shows up with a white binder labeled “Blueprint for Peace,” run.
The U.S. message seems to boil down to:
“Let’s just end this thing quickly. Russia gets to keep some stuff. We promise you’ll be fine. Probably. No, you can’t see the fine print.”
Europe’s message to Ukraine is the opposite:
“Absolutely not.
You will not be strong-armed into a surrender disguised as diplomacy.”
And that’s where the tectonic shift begins.
Why Europe Is Freaking Out — Hint: They Live Next Door
For Americans, the war in Ukraine is “over there,” somewhere between a New York Times push alert and a cable news panel.
For Europe, Russia is the creepy neighbor with a basement full of missiles.
Ukrainian defeat or forced concessions don’t just hurt Ukraine.
They destabilize every square inch of Europe.
A bad peace deal means:
Russia is rewarded for invading a sovereign country
NATO’s deterrence crumbles
Eastern Europe becomes a buffet line for imperial revanchism
Millions more refugees
A message to every autocrat: Invade now, bargain later.
Europe is reacting like the fire alarm just went off — because it did.
What’s at Stake for Ukraine? Only Its Existence. No Pressure.
If Ukraine is pressured into signing a Trump-branded “peace agreement,” here’s what they lose:
1. Territory
And not just what Russia currently holds.
We’re talking about Ukraine being pushed to give up land that is its sovereign territory under international law.
2. Security
Vague “guarantees” that can be revoked, reinterpreted, or ignored aren’t guarantees.
They’re vibes.
3. Global leverage
If Kyiv accepts a coerced deal, Russia learns the one lesson Europe has feared most:
Invade long enough, and the West will surrender to you.
4. Domestic stability
A government that gives up land voluntarily can collapse politically.
And Russia would exploit that instantly.
The stakes are so high that Europe is now treating Ukraine like a friend on the edge of making the worst decision of their life:
“Listen, you deserve someone who respects your sovereignty.”
Why Would America Sell Out Ukraine? Let’s Be Honest.
This isn’t about strategy.
It’s not even about peace.
It’s about U.S. politics. Oil. Rare Earth. Real Estate and contracts for the Trump Crime Family and friends.
AKA, “CASH MONEY, YO!”
Reason #1: Trump wants a dramatic, TV-ready “deal.”
Preferably announced in front of golden drapes, with flags, and maybe Lee Greenwood appearing from a fog machine.
Reason #2: Trump’s people think Europe is overreacting.
Spoiler: Europe is the grown-up in the room, and they are NOT overreacting.
Reason #3: American voters are tired.
Fatigue isn’t a strategy.
Fatigue is how bad decisions become foreign policy.
Reason #4: Washington wants out — even if the cost is Ukraine.
The U.S. can walk away.
Europe and Ukraine cannot.
And Europe knows it. Europe is also sick of Trump’s shit and, along with the “Coalition of the Willing,” knows that defeating Russian IN Ukraine is the only way to sustainable peace in Europe.
🤝 Europe’s Message to Ukraine: Don’t Sign Anything Without Us
For decades, the transatlantic relationship worked like this:
The U.S. leads
Europe follows
Russia sulks
Ukraine tries not to get invaded
That’s over.
Europe is now telling Ukraine:
“If America tries to pressure you into a bad deal, we will not endorse it.”
And underneath that?
A deeper, more existential question the world is now forced to confront:
Can America still be trusted with European security?
Europe’s answer — for the first time since 1945 — is no longer an automatic “yes.”
That alone is historic.
And terrifying.
Possible Futures (Spoiler: None Are Boring)
Scenario 1: The U.S. forces the deal → Europe revolts
NATO is shaken (The US is NT attending the next NATO mtg so we’re already there)
Ukraine rejects it (They will).
Russia celebrates.
Trump claims victory anyway, and Ukraine and Russia continue to fight (That’s how ALL Trump-related Peace deals work, btw, because none of his alleged peace deals are peace deals. Their photo ops).
Scenario 2: Ukraine refuses → Trump lashes out publicly
Predictable script:
“You’re ungrateful. You’re corrupt. You’re weak.”
The gaslighting writes itself.
Trump abandons talks OR joins Putin’s war effort to get what he wants.
Scenario 3: Europe steps up → America sidelines itself
The EU doubles down on defense autonomy.
New Ukraine-EU security frameworks emerge.
The U.S. becomes the unreliable cousin at Thanksgiving.
Scenario 4: Backlash forces Washington to rethink
Ukraine + Europe hold the line.
Washington slows down.
Allies renegotiate from a position of unity.
This is the best-case outcome.
⚠️ The Real Earthquake: Trust in America Is Cracking
The U.S. has always been the anchor of the democratic world — the country that could be counted on when everything went to hell.
Today, Europe is openly preparing for a world where America is:
Unstable
Transactional
Politically incoherent
Capable of abandoning allies
And willing to trade away sovereignty for short-term optics
And here’s the kicker:
The Kremlin sees it.
Beijing sees it.
Iran sees it.
Every dictatorship sees it.
When your allies start warning your other allies about you, your credibility isn’t damaged.
It’s gone.
🧨 Closing: What Happens When the Leader of the Free World Stops Believing in Freedom?
Europe didn’t warn Ukraine because it doesn’t trust Kyiv.
They warned Ukraine because they don’t trust Washington.
They see the Trump Regime willing to treat Ukraine like a bargaining chip.
They see a Dictator who wants a headline, not a solution.
They see a peace plan that rewards the invader and punishes the invaded.
And they see a world about to slide into something dark and familiar.
So here we are:
Ukraine is being pressured to sign away land.
Europe is telling them not to trust America.
Russia is sitting back, grinning like a Bond villain.
And the U.S. — once the adult in the room — is now the wildcard no one knows how to manage.
The West is at a crossroads.
If America betrays Ukraine now, it won’t just lose a partner.
It will lose the world’s trust.
And once that’s gone, it doesn’t come back.

Wow, Dean that is a hell of an article. So distressing. I have wondered for a long time why Zelenskyy has taken shit from trump. So tired of the WH lies. I hope the EU/Zelenskyy takes a solid stand. I also hope we can get our country back to democracy but it is a shaky hope. Thanks for your solid breakdown of the situation.
I’ve been saying this for as long as T has been ‘in power’. Zelenskyy cannot knuckle under to this nasty bully. No, the US isn’t thinking of any good coming to Ukraine except what can be exploited. Kudos and encouragement to the EU and Canada for stepping into this breach. The US can’t be trusted to do anything anymore so those used-to-be partners and allies have to fend for themselves.
