A Friday dump generally means it's a way to slide news past the general public when most people are heading out to enjoy their weekend rather than listening to the news on the way to or from work or instead of work since it's (say it ain't so!) more interesting. Since the looming shut down can be expected to suck some of the air out of the news room too, someone probably did not want this stuff to catch the public imagination the way the Kirk shooter did and does, and the way the Comey indictment is doing. If the summons of 800 generals and admirals results in a loyalty oath demand (and I can hardly imagine it won't), that will be another big item. In fact, this is one of the few articles I've seen that goes into the contents of this latest Epstein file selection release... so good on you!
