So Yesterday's Trump/Vance "Performance" in the Oval Office was something. Unless you're in Trump's orbit and swore an oath of loyalty to Diaper Don, you are objectively saying that was the worst moment in US diplomatic history. Bar none.

You can watch the entire blowup here, but let's break it down and talk about it so you have some context:

You get that?

  • Vance makes a baseless claim about Ukraine not using diplomacy against Russia, who has been attacking Ukraine for 11 years despite ceasefires and peace deals and 20 years of diplomacy.

  • Z politely explains that Vance takes issue with the explanation, calling it Litigation and an abuse of the American taxpayers’ time, because he just got fact checked.

  • Vance and Trump tell Z he’s not grateful and can only survive if Trump allows it.

  • Trump turned it into a protection for hire racket telling Z he “has no cards” and he has to submit to Putin if there is to be peace in Ukraine.

  • Z says he’s not here to play cards and has thanked the US profusely for years, but Trump’s peace plan is about submission, not long-lasting security, sovereignty, and peace in Ukraine.

  • Trump leans in and treats Zelensky like an ungrateful asshole before abruptly cancelling the meeting, then threatened to pull aid from Ukraine unless Z apologizing for what Trump and Vance did to him. Unless that happens, Ukraine doesn’t want peace.
