On a related note I just caught your last video chat with Zev and found his processing of Canada cashing out US Bonds as playing into the hands of China when we should be supporting American values was curious. Dealing with China (and preferably with others) is exactly where the Donald has driven us with his zero sum gaming of the system. It seems Zev is losing sight of the fact that American values are no longer what they were, and the American guarantee of security has been blown away by Trump. Selling our American debt offers Canada protection with one of the few levers we have in this dispute, and while we wish no harm to Americans, we do very much need to see them demand change at the top. Now.

As an American, the best scenario to stop trump IMO is economic collapse. I agree with Dean, this regime is completely rogue and is actively seeking to close an open society.

The legislative bodies and the courts, not to mention law firms and academia, are crumpling under the pressure. Economic pain is the least worse pain this country has to endure to turn this around.

84.9 million people did not even bother to vote in the November election. Wondering how they're doing now! It's only been 84 days since the Day of Dread - Inauguration. I cannot look at my 401K or other investments. I would need an Emergency Room doctor sitting next to me, or maybe just go to ER to check my balances just in case.

I hear you, Linda. Far too many Americans will say, "One vote does not make a difference". I even have some in my own family that do not understand that every vote is only ONE! I tend to be proud of MN because we are often the state with the most voting citizens. The downside is that MN is losing Dems because the former head of the Minnesota DFL, Ken Martin, seems to believe only Metro votes matter, and now he is the Chair of the National DFL party.

I was for Ben Wikler. Ken is not getting off to a strong start. He doesn’t even have a Press Secretary. Pete Buttigieg is my Press Secretary.

Ben Wikler was my choice too. Pete Buttigieg is a phenom! If we survive President Rectum Buttigieg is my President choice.

Tomorrow I am heading to Tom Emmer’s office and talk to people walking by. Telling them that Emmer is one of the people who can get rid of tRump. How the impeachment process works. Let walker-bys know Emmer could get the ball rolling. Tonight I am writing up one page of facts of how President Rectum has pissed on the Constitution. Somehow I have to fight!

How’s this for a mixed blessing? My small law firm needs to move $$ from our TD Canada Trust account in Vancouver down to our U.S. bank, so the stronger loonie is good. At the same time, I’m moving personal dollars up to my TD account in Vancouver as fast as I can while I consider how to retire to Canada.

As for the situation down here in “Dumbvoteristan,” I tend to agree that the only thing that might wake up the Republicans in Congress will be serious financial collapse. A Wall Street Journal op ed just called for Trump’s impeachment and removal as a necessary means of restoring some confidence in the U.S. as a rational political and economic entity. There is a chance that Trump’s defiance of the Federal Courts’ order to return the man they admit they wrongly sent to a Salvadoran hell hole (yes, it’s unbelievable) will start to land some members of his administration in jail for contempt, and/or prompt impeachment proceedings. God help us! It’s crazy town down here.

For the US the only answer is the removal of the Trump regime...and it needs to happen soon. The midterms are too far away and not a sure thing. He must go.

Dean, I’d like to give a couple of subscriptions as gifts but can’t find a link. Can you send me a link? Thanks.

I'm not even sure it is any fancier than the WHOLE wide world sees the US as the UNTRUSTWORTHY bearer of the title "World Leader---once the trusted holder the privilege of the world's reserve currency".

What you are seeing is the world selling their holdings of the US dollar; the more they sell the more the value drops.

As Trump succeeds to alienate more and more countries, the value of the USD will continue to drop lower and lower.

As the value of the USD continues to drop, the American people will be able to purchase less and less with their $$$ from their trading partners pantries.

Where and when will the value stop dropping ?

It will stop dropping when the American people come to their senses and get rid of the vermin that they elected to lead them; and make a sustained effort to earn back the respect of the people that have been hurt due to the ambivilance and indifference of the American citizens toward the damage that is being done in their name.

All Americans are actually complicit in this mess up (bollix, screw up, foul up, flub, mishandling).

Americans are all guilty by association, and inaction. This ugly thing that they created is not about to leave without being encouraged to leave in a firm way.

And everyone in the world can now see that the chickens have already started to return to their home, to roost.

cluck tock, cluck, tock, cluck, tock, cluck, tock..... homeward bound

Most of my life I didn' pay much attention the Euro (first trip over was for our honey moon and I believe they had just switched to it) but we are seeing a steady decline for a few years. My vacation plans asside I'm not sure if this will be a big negative or just make it more appealing for them to buy our goods.

All Thanks to FUHRER TRUMP and HIS MAGA FOLLOWERS. So far the only ones who are benefiting from all this are the INSIDER TRADING SUSPECTS. AMERICAN WORKERS, RETIREES,SENIORS are all getting the big FUHRER TRUMPS SHAFTING. But they can’t complain. If they do they’ll end up in FUHRER TRUMPS OFFSHORE DACHUA(El Salvador Prison), where Hard Work or UFST GOVERNMENT won’t set you FREE.
