Trump’s Slave Trade: El Salvador Admits They're Being Paid to Keep Innocent Men Like Abrego Garcia in Gulags

Let’s call this what it is: a modern-day slave trade—or more accurately, a U.S.-sponsored human trafficking operation dressed up as “immigration policy.”

The tragic saga of Abrego Garcia, an undocumented immigrant with no criminal record, just took another horrifying turn. And at the center of it is a bombshell revelation: El Salvador is being paid by Donald Trump to keep Garcia imprisoned—despite knowing he’s innocent.

This isn’t speculation. This came straight from El Salvador’s Vice President during a high-level conversation with Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, who has been leading a quiet but urgent campaign to bring Garcia home.

“We can’t release Mr. Abrego Garcia—even though he’s innocent,” the VP reportedly told Van Hallen. “Because we’re being paid to keep him.”

Paid. To. Keep. Him.

Let that settle in for a second. Trump is funneling cash to El Salvador to detain a man who’s committed no crime. And it’s not just Garcia—he’s one of 278 men sent from U.S. detention centers to CECOT, El Salvador’s infamous mega-prison, despite no charges, no due process, and no justification under U.S. law.

And the Supreme Court? Yeah, they ordered Garcia’s return. El Salvador doesn’t care. Trump’s hush money speaks louder than justice.

And make no mistake, this is the return of the modern-day slave trade/human trafficking and meets the exact requirements to be called such.

Welcome to CECOT: The Gulag That Kills You Slowly

Garcia and others like him are currently being held in CECOT—the concrete monolith that President Nayib Bukele uses to detain tens of thousands without trial. But these aren’t just jails. They’re gulags. Prisons built for forced labor, humiliation, psychological torture, and ultimately, death by exhaustion or neglect.

These men aren’t prisoners. They’re products—human capital sold from one state to another.

And here’s where the legal and moral earthquake really hits: Trump is paying El Salvador's dictator AND giving him human capital for work slave labour, and these slaves are housed in a….Work Camp called CECOT. A modern-day Gulag/Concentration Camp where no one ever leaves, and satellite images have recorded blood-soaked pavement outside of kill rooms, a CECOT.

Sounds familiar, huh?

This Is Human Trafficking/Slave Trading

According to international law, human trafficking is defined as:

"The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, fraud, or abuse of power for the purpose of exploitation." — UN Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons

Let’s break it down:

• Recruitment/Transfer? ✅ Sent directly from U.S. custody.

• Coercion? ✅ No charges, no hearings, no lawyers.

• Exploitation? ✅ CECOT gulags use these men for unpaid labour.

• Profit motive? ✅ Trump pays Bukele. Bukele uses prisoners. Trump gets "results."

That is Human Trafficking. That is the definition of the Slave Trade.

Worse? These men are being used until they die.

This is state-sponsored slave trading, plain and simple.

🧾 Why Is Trump Doing This?

Control the narrative. Control the base. Show “action” on immigration—no matter how illegal or grotesque. Trump’s campaign is running on immigrant fearmongering and faux-strongman theatrics.

• Deporting "the bad hombres"?
  Nope—he’s detaining innocent men abroad for campaign optics.

• Reducing crime?
  Nope—he’s committing crimes against humanity by funding gulags.

And don’t forget: this isn’t even legal under U.S. law. In fact, the Supreme Court ordered Garcia’s return because even under Trump’s own immigration statutes, this is unconstitutional.

But when you're running a shadow government and the Supreme Court just handed you immunity, who needs laws?

The lower courts ruled that Trump was in “Criminal Contempt” for sending Mr Abrego Garcia there yesterday, so we’ll see if that Criminal Contempt charge has any teeth at a hearing on April 23rd. The Trump Regime said they’ll ignore any ruling from the court, so HELLO, Constitutional Crisis.

A New Form of Slave Trade

This is a pivotal moment. If Trump can somehow re-legalize the slave trade and make human trafficking legal in the US, oh boy.

The United States, under Trump, is no longer outsourcing manufacturing—it’s outsourcing human suffering.

• Human bodies are traded for political capital.

• Men with names, families, and dreams are reduced to state-owned assets.

• And we—the public—are just starting to see it.

This isn’t immigration enforcement. It’s slave trading.

And if you think this stops with undocumented men from Central America, wait until they expand it to political enemies, journalists, and activists. This is a testing ground, not a one-off.

What Happens Now?

Senator Van Hallen’s pressure may bring Garcia home. But what about the other 277? What about the next wave of Americans Trump decides don’t belong?

We need to demand:

• Immediate transparency on U.S. payments to El Salvador

• Release and repatriation of all detainees at CECOT

• Accountability for the Trump officials orchestrating this

• International sanctions against Bukele for participating in trafficking
