The Icemen Cometh! Run as fast as you can. Trump does not care about the rule of law or the constitution, and the Supreme Court can't be trusted on Trumps watch or any other MAGA Republican. This republic has ended; it's now a dictatorship regime and there are no laws!

It’s time to leave. They opened another fucking concentration camp in Michigan this week and no one knows about it. This is bullshit. I’m beyond scared. I’m numb and that’s the worst thing to be.

The worst thing happening in the world today isn’t a single issue — it's the intertwined crisis of ecological collapse and elite-driven governance, both feeding off each other. If we break it down:

---

🔥 Nature’s Breakdown (Climate and Environmental Collapse)

Global warming is accelerating — with record heatwaves, rising sea levels, and stronger storms.

Biodiversity loss is catastrophic — we’re living through the sixth mass extinction, driven by deforestation, pollution, and habitat destruction.

Water scarcity, crop failures, and ecosystem collapse are becoming more frequent, threatening basic human survival.

But here's the thing:

This crisis didn’t emerge on its own. It's the result of decades of choices by those in power — which brings us to the second force.

---

🏦 Oligarchic Rule (Concentration of Wealth and Power)

A tiny global elite — billionaires, corporate monopolies, and autocratic leaders — wield disproportionate control over resources, politics, and media.

Their actions often block climate action, undermine democracies, and exploit workers, all while enriching themselves.

Oil companies, arms manufacturers, and tech giants shape global policies in their favor — even as they destabilize the planet or fracture societies.

They profit from destruction, resist regulation, and push misinformation. So, while nature is collapsing, it’s oligarchic rule that is actively accelerating and protecting that collapse.

---

So Which Is Worse?

Oligarchic rule is worse — because it’s the cause, or at least the main enabler, of nature’s destruction and many of the world’s injustices.

Without powerful elites prioritizing profit over people, we’d have a far better chance of solving the environmental crisis.

---

If you want a single sentence:

> The worst thing happening is that a small, powerful class is steering the planet into ruin while the masses are left to suffer the consequences.

Immigration in America has been a hot potato neither party has wanted to touch or solve for decades. The republicans have had something to endlessly run on and the democrats have been stuck with the myth that they want unchecked open borders. Nothing has been done to modernize our immigration system and anytime lawmakers tried they were shut down.

Then came Trump who threw gasoline on a long smoldering brush fire. He fed the resentment towards immigrants that already existed among whites who were terrified they would become the minority in the country. The rest of us didn’t pay enough attention to the rhetoric about immigrants poisoning the blood of our country and all the rest of the vile things Trump preached. It was magnified 24/7 by his state media Fox.

Now we see the culmination of this immigrant hate that existed in Trump’s 1st term too but was stopped because most Americans couldn’t bare hearing little children begging ICE agents to let them call their aunties for help. We saw faces then too of people crammed together in cages with flimsy space type blankets for warmth. This go round Miller especially has learned. No faces now and no voices for us to see and have sympathy for. It’s by design.

We’re in a bind of our own making. Our economy depends on the immigrant engine. It’s going to collapse without them. We’re on the road to ruin right now with agents removing every brown skinned person they can get their hands on. We can’t allow the torture and abuse of our immigrants to go on or we aren’t the America the words etched on our Statue of Liberty says we are. Ask any one of us though and we aren’t exactly sure how to stop it either. This is our consequence and the fix isn’t going to be as simple as getting rid of Trump.

During his campaign he (donald T) stated, "elect me and you won't ever need another election".

What he didn't say is that "his plan depends on his own immortality".

This would be some new fangled rapid biological development.

And it wouldn't likely involve drinking bleach as a cure for death.

Thank you, Dean. I often wondered who the hell would want to sign up to do the Satanic work of ICE given no due process is followed. I thought it was only for the insane amount of money they could make. People often say you get what you reward. In Atlanta public schools there was scandal after it was found out that schools were inflating student scores. Yes, they were paid bonuses for good scores. The cheating began for the dollar. Your article, however, goes farther to show how miserable these people are even before they go to ICE. I never saw any reporting of this before. Thanks again.
