Democracy Lovers, Here’s What You Need to Know Today
1. Trump’s Israel-Iran Saber-Rattling Risks Wider War
President Trump is escalating tensions in the Middle East, doubling down on rhetoric about U.S. military support for Israel as the Israel-Iran conflict heats up. Posts on X and reports indicate Trump’s approval of plans for potential U.S. involvement, with Iran vowing to target U.S. bases after Israeli strikes hit Tehran. This could spiral into a dangerous regional war, and democracy lovers should watch closely as Trump’s posturing threatens global stability.
2. Trump’s G7 Flop Overshadowed by Canada-Ukraine Deal
Trump’s disastrous G7 appearance in Alberta saw him looking frail, leaving early, and avoiding Ukraine’s President Zelensky. Meanwhile, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney sealed a $4 billion economic and security deal with Ukraine, flexing Canada’s growing global leadership. Trump’s distraction with war talk seems like a desperate bid to shift focus from his embarrassing summit exit, his failing health, and disastrous approval rating. More HERE:

3. Trump’s $71 Billion “Golden Dome” Threat Falls Flat
In another unhinged move, Trump demanded Canada pay $71 billion for a so-called “Golden Dome” defense system while reviving his annexation fantasies. Canada, led by Mark Carney, doesn’t give a single shit about anything that comes out of Diaper Don’s mouth anymore. Carney buttoned up the G7 with a comprehensive sanctions, financial, and security package and a rock-solid commitment, while securing new trade and economic security deals with every world leader at the G7, in contrast to Trump's pleas for protection money. Trump’s a Joke, and we’re all in on the joke now. Read More Here:

After being diplomatically rebuked by every major world leader at the G7 summit in Alberta, Donald Trump left early, skipped meetings with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and was rebuked by every G7 head of state. *For the entire month of June, join Dean Blundell's Substack and save 35% on your annual subscription. 4. Elon Musk’s Twitter Tantrum Against… Grok?
Elon Musk got into a bizarre X spat with his own AI, Grok, after it pointed out right-wing violence as a major driver of political unrest. Musk, now a Trump ally, called for “fixing” the world’s most accurate chatbot, proving even AI isn’t safe from his meltdowns. This clash highlights the growing tension between tech oligarchs and truth-telling tools. More Here:

5. Canada’s Boycott Crushes U.S. Border States
Canada’s self-imposed travel boycott of “MAGAmerica” is devastating U.S. border economies, with duty-free sales down 40-80%. U.S. governors recently begged Canada to ease up, but Canadians, fed up with Trump’s tariffs and “51st state” nonsense, aren’t budging. Prime Minister Carney’s strategic pivot to Europe and Japan is redefining Canada’s global role. Full Story:

Parting Shot
The world’s shifting, and Trump’s chaos is pushing allies like Canada to step up as leaders of the free world. From war drums to AI tantrums, the MAGA circus is unraveling. Stay sharp, unplug when needed, but never tune out. Share this with someone who needs a wake-up call!
So Trump has "approved" strikes and god know what else in Iran. Well seems to me knowing how this government is supposed to work, Congress has to be the one who declare war and approve this kind of action. But to the orange man, who craves to be a tough guy to cover up his inadequacies, thinking Netanyahu believes he is so powerful (craftily being led as a fool because he can be), killing people halfway around the world, provoking a giant, seems to be the ticket. No Republican will ever stand up to him and say, no, you cannot do this by law. Maddening as it gets today (but it is still early).
Thank you for the great reporting on the G7 and Mark Carney’s impressive handling of the US embarrassment.
