the "eastern elites" who are using Albertans are in Washington, not Ottawa.

Some are now back in Ottawa. And a great many stand in Ontario under the guise of being good Canadian conservative MPs.

Deport and Expel Hoekstra? He's a security foreign affairs risk, like KGB Putin's Russia Get him the hell out!

We think Trump escalated in August because he feels his powers ebbing and is desperately trying everything, he can restore his STRENGTH, VIRILITY and POWER. Despite his efforts it isn’t working. So, anticipate more escalation, more efforts to steal seats, rig the elections, weaken and degrade his opposition and him growing more distant from the public. It is something that I’ve called the vicious cycle of a declining strongman, and yes, we are in the midst of it today.

Roll back Trump’s terrible tariffs

Block the expansion of ICE and the use of the military on our streets including DC

End Trump’s war on science, higher education and our public health and demand the removal of madman Robert Kennedy from HHS

Stand with Ukraine and block Trump’s selling out of the West to Putin

If we openly discuss the real problem here, it's that the CPC couldn't and won't get elected. This is why they call Eastern Canadians elites, but this is a self-inflicted wound for the CPC.

Let's go back in time. The West would elect Reform/Canadian Alliance, and the East would elect Progressive Conservatives, but that split the conservative vote, and they couldn't win an election. In walks Peter MacKay, and when he won the leadership of the PC Party, he sold Eastern Conservatives out to Stephen Harper and the Canadian Alliance. This was a move to give Conservatives power, without paying any attention to what voters and party members wanted.

After this, a lot of PC voters remained with the renamed CPC Party, I was not one of them. Stephen Harper got his 2 minority governments and he stayed relatively center for each term. The issue happened when he won the majority. Like slow boiling a frog, Harper began slowly moving the CPC to the right, losing only those intune enough to see what was happening, but by the end, he had turned off many in Eastern Canada and we booted him from office in 2015.

That shift much farther to the right, and Harper's horrible treatment of the Military and Veterans, disillusioned many in the East. But the CPC never swung back to the center. This is the real issue.

Andrew Scheer was as far right as could be, Erin O'Toole was closer to a moderate Conservative, and the party hated him for it. And now we have Pierre, who is so far to the right he isn't Conservative, he is actually a Libertarian. Conservatives in Western Canada are unwilling to make any compromises to win the votes back in the East, and to be honest, most of us wouldn't trust their word now anyway. Beginning with Harper, the CPC has become a party of political grievance where the political supporters are all about themselves with no regard for any one else in the country. The most telling tale is that we in Eastern Canada all know that if they assumed power, they would do nothing for Eastern Canada. Just as Harper allowed manufacturing to take a back seat to oil and gas, so would any other CPC government.

This has led to these disgruntled separatists reaching out to anyone who will support them. DCDraino is a big contact for them on X, and the American Republican Party and the CPC are both card-carrying members of Stephen Harper's IDU. While everyone is pointing at subversion by America, no one is looking towards the IDU and the amount of sway it has with the people of Alberta when it comes to their separatist goals. America is a problem, yes, but the IDU is a bigger problem, and until we can eradicate that group of fascists, we will continually deal with the discord from the minority in Alberta.

I know everyone wants to blame the Americans, and I suspect the loan was more bluster than reality, but where we need to focus is on the IDU and how to stop Stephen Harper from spreading hatred around the world.

The problem for Albertans isn't the so-called Eastern Elites; the real issue is the CPC being full of underachievers, nazi's, and malcontents who want to see Canada fail because they truly believe Canada is ruining Alberta. Many Albertans believe they pay more Federal Income taxes than everyone else in Canada, which is untrue, but you can't get through to them with truth; they have been brainwashed.

Short of reprogramming these people, I don't see any way to get around this because the fact is, as long as the CPC Party pushes a far-right agenda of intolerance and hate, they will never form government in Canada again, as long as another party can field a decent candidate for PM.

So, for as much as the Separatists want to blame Ottawa, and the rest of us want to blame American covert ops, the real truth here is that the biggest offender in all of this is the CPC and the IDU.

Sorry for the essay, this has been slow rolling for more than 25 years, and I wanted to make certain anyone reading this understood the history. And yes, boot Pete Hoekstra the hell out of Canada! He helps nothing!

You are 100% accurate on your analysis by my life history, research, and understanding. My dear old dad cursed Harper's arrogance and egotism practically till the day he passed. Dad always said about Harper selling out Canada to the U.S., to follow the money. The money being big oil from the U.S. and the corporate greed to possess more and more and more. It's never been more true than it is today.

My research also shows that the fatal flaw in this attempt to radicalize dumb Albertans to secede is that the U.S. instigators assume that Canada is just like them; that our constitution, government, indigenous peoples, values, are just like them or that we are envious and therefore want to be just like them. And they cannot comprehend why we wouldn't. It's an arrogance that can only be born out of a culture of historic selfish individualism that puts personal greed before collective integrity. Canada is not that. There are still a majority of us, and specifically Albertans, who can read the room. Poilievre is not one of them and Stephen Harper has always been on the dark side. ❤️🇨🇦

I agree with you completely. I feel like I would have loved your Dad cause I didn't like Harper from the first second I saw him, and I still curse him!

It has been my experience that Albertans are loyal Canadians, and I believe the dumb ones are the fringe. I have full faith that Alberta will defeat this separation attempt and the BS rhetoric and lies that come along with it.

The Albertans and Greenlanders that these subversive operators have been targeting need to do some reading/studying of past U.S. government actions, specifically how they treated indigenous Native Americans, Puerto Rico, and Vieques. A lot of people are going to say that stealing the land of Native Americans, and sending them on death marches to concentration camps(aka reservations - they are not a five-star venue !) is practically ancient history. Puerto Rico and Vieques is not that far off time. This article is from 2005, and gives an overview at the time. My father was stationed there doing training before his amphibious personnel carrier was deployed to Korea where his Marine unit did beach landings. https://towardfreedom.org/story/archives/americas/vieques-vs-the-us-navy-999/ I was just there this year, 2025, and vast areas of the island is still inaccessible due to unexplored ordinance; the descendants of those people who were displaced are still dealing with generational trauma. More recently, who can forget the U.S. reaction to Hurricane Maria, the news coverage of the then U.S.President throwing paper towels to citizens struggling to recover, and saying that they weren’t up to date on their taxes, so they weren’t getting all of the support that they needed, 🤔oh, yeah, that would be our 45th President - DJT - the tempestuous toddler, the Orange 🤡 known, not for big shoes, but cankles. Before forming any alliance with subversive operatives working to further the agenda of the current American President, citizens of Canada and Greenland need to ask themselves if these people are trying to help them or just sell them infected blankets, or paying them with checks written with disappearing ink. There are a tremendous number of virtuous Americans that are committed to global peace, stability and cooperation, but they do not work for this current administration ‼️ To our closest neighbor, Canada, thank you for stepping up, thank you for Mark Carney ❣️

First of all, Canada should consider trading Alberta for several Blue States. It would mean Mark Carney setting up to have a discussion with the Blue State Governors on the morning daily calls. What is a soft Blue State secession could become a hard one, if they were willing to agree to certain things. Then, Trump would not have the kind of money he was banking on. In fact the US population and GDP would shrink drastically making these kinds of moves not pay off.

In other news of this sort, I was reading that Germany is concerned that Russian drones have been hovering around their military bases and tracking the movement of military supplies, even as the amount of sabotage has dropped. I am guessing it is cheaper for Russia to send spy drones than to pay feet on the ground spies, especially since EU countries have been kicking them out more frequently.

Thank you Dean.

I spent years on Twitter/X trying to get the message out about the poisoning of Alberta for decades by #KochBros’ #KochNetwork and you are getting it out there now on Substack after my few months back here full time after having been improperly X-iled.

As fellow refugees from X we have both been able to spread a message that was getting #LostOnX.

I already thought that X might have done me a favour by booting me off, but now I am convinced of it.

I also followed you on X, by the way, so was very glad to find you here.

Thank you for spreading Canadian news in the way it deserves to be spread.

The pro-democracy posters here rock, many of whom I also followed on X - and on MSNBC.

It’s so great to log on here everyday to see people fighting for democracy and amplifying FACTS.

I had a solid community on X, so this better visibility on Substack makes up somewhat for losing that community there. And I keep finding more people I followed on X and MSNBC, so it’s pretty great.

I actually think I was very lucky to have been released from X and to have come back to Substack at a time when it seemed to be exploding with new highly-motivated members.

Kismet? Synchronicity. I like to think it was meant to be.

Thank you Substack pro-democracy community. I feel at SocialMedia home again, now more than ever.

For years as a lefty in Alberta I felt like a lone wolf calling out in the wilderness, searching for my pack- except for that 4 year reprieve of an NDP Alberta government!

And I am lucky enough now to have found a choir of wolves howling out together - and from both sides of the longest border between two countries.

A true blessing in difficult times.

Thank you, Substackians!

Resist!
