A couple of days ago, leendary US Poltical strategist Steve Schmidt send me a DM on Subtsack asking if I’d join him on his flamethrower “The Warning” Podcast to talk about Canada’s General election and how Canada is leading the global response to Trump’s Tariff/Anexxation bullshit.
Not one to miss an opportunity to promote Canadian Values while telling our American friends we’re here for them in the face of Trump’s tyranny, I GLADLY accepted the invite.
Steve was so much better than I expected him to be, and a total ally in the fight against fascism in North America. Gracious, smart, funny, pointed, and very pro-Canada/pro-democracy. a TOTAL breath of fresh air for this Canadian.

I loved spending some time with Steve and hope to have him on my podcast very soon. Watching democracy loving Canadian/American media come together to talk about the reality of the resistance instead of taking MAGA/Trump’s word for it was life-giving.
Canada and America are in this together, and after my time with Steve, I’ve never been more aware of that fact.
