I will be supporting Democracy in North America by attending a Hands Off/Hände Weg rally on Saturday in Berlin, Germany at 2 Pm CET in front of the US Embassy. In addition to the destruction of our government in the US, we are protesting Trump shutting down half the consulates in Germany, and the attempt to prevent us from voting from abroad.

Dean, Can you explain more about how you got wind of Hegseth talking about the US taking over North and Central America as a plan. I did not hear this leak discussed elsewhere. I am currently in Europe, and am trying hard to follow things in all of the continents but mostly North America and Europe. I am hoping that Carney wins and stays the course. It is unclear to me and probably most people what is going on with the US and Canada in terms of tariffs.
Should Canada lose their arctic territories, de facto or otherwise, there will be a couple other nations that will also need to be assimilated into the arctic axis of evil: Norway and Denmark (Greenland), both NATO members of course. WWIII would surely ensue and would likely include a "modest" nuclear exchange, but who knows where. Not Baffin Island, that's for sure. Nor Nuuk Greenland, I would say. Tromso? Oslo? St. Petersburg? Vladivostok? Anchorage? Mar-a-Lago?
